According to Forbes.com there are at least 5 major benefits of volunteering: 1. makes you feel as if you have more time, 2. helps you develop a new skill, 3. can assist you with getting a healthier body, 4. allows you to share your knowledge and 5. builds care and empathy leading to an increase in the feeling of love. According to others, benefits of volunteering also include a sense of self worth, finding a spiritual connection and if done right volunteering can earn you some welcome tax deductions.
